The HARB Ordinance: What Comes Next?

In December of 2017, Borough Council passed

Ordinance 2104. This important legislation

established a Local Historic District and a Historic

and Architectural Review Board (HARB). It further

requires a review of...

• All proposed additions to existing main structures,

• Any proposed demolition of part or all of any main


• Any proposed new construction of a main building

within the local historic district.

It does not require a review of exterior repairs,

window and door replacements, color, or interior


This breakfast presentation is intended to help

promote better appreciation of the borough’s

historic neighborhoods, and understanding of what

the HARB Ordinance is and is not — and what it

means to you.

Date: Saturday, April 28

Time: 8:30am—Breakfast and hot

beverages will be served

9:00am—The program will begin

and will last approximately 1 hour.
